Digital Literacies 2 is a 1-month course within the Global Skills Course and it involves one synchronous meeting a week. It is designed to be taken together with the Citizenship Global Skills Course as they are closely related. It is mainly aimed at K12 and young adults, but anyone joining the course may benefit from it.
Why is it important to learn about Digital Literacy?
In the 21st century as we all tend to interact more and more in digital environments it is imperative we understand the notions of Digital Literacies and develop our related skills in order to be able to protect ourselves from the possible dangers of the digital world and act responsibly as digital citizens.
By the end of this course participants will be able to:
Week 1: Learn how to protect their privacy when they are online
Week 2: Understand what a digital footprint is and how this can affect their future life
Week 3: Learn about cyberbullying and how to deal with this problem
Week 4: Reflect on their learning journey and share their reflections
Use digital tools and improve their language skills
